Not all Bluegrass is "High & Lonesome". I still
believe that a Banjo is the one instrument that adds idenity to
the music.

The word Bluegrass was not used to
describe this type of music until the late 1950s,
at a time when the Banjo had become the most
characteristic instrument in the band.

For this reason, I do not consider a group like
Nickel Creek (nice music and great musicians) to
be Bluegrass.

Earl, sir, my hat's off to you for all you have
done for this style of music.
