I'm pretty sure that Austin City Limits still owns the rights to all of their shows. They govern when PBS stations can show any episodes.
It would be great in this age of DVD's if they would start re-mastering and releasing their shows.
I found a book of 25 Years of Austin City Limits with tons of pictures and a listing of every artist, every show, every song performed up until a couple of years ago. They have some great content in their archives.
