A bit of follow-up info for you, if you're interested. Several years ago, one of Preacher Jenkins' daughters, Cathy, who lives in Cullowhee, NC with her husband, Gene Vosecky, had to have a 6 bypass heart operation similar to the one you had. She is doing OK now,
and says to tell you hello, as do her sisters, Betty and (Ella Mc)Neill.
As you probably already know, Preacher Jenkins died in the early 70's.
I'm sure we'll see him again one day.
By the way, Cathy has a grandson, Douglas, who has been picking Banjo for some time, and is getting pretty darned good at it. I enjoy playing guitar with him, when we can get together. He's in College now, and doesn't have a lot of time to pick.
