8:00 PM Channel 13 WUNG (North Carolina)

"All Star Bluegrass Celebration"
(95 min.)
Ricky Skaggs hosts a lively concert at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
“We hope to touch your hearts, lift your spirits and get your feet moving,” says Skaggs, who opens the show with “Shady Grove.” He's followed by Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss, Travis Tritt, Bruce Hornsby and Dan Tyminski (who sings “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” from the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack). Banjo giant Earl Scruggs performs “Foggy Mountain Breakdown,” and Ralph Stanley duets with Loveless on “Pretty Polly” and sings a chilling rendition of “Oh Death.” The concert also includes a tribute to bluegrass legend Bill Monroe from Skaggs, Hornsby and Tritt.
