"The Earl" banjo Gibson is making. You can find it right here on the News link. Scroll down to July 18, 2002. I had the pleasure of seeing one at Gibson in February. The general manager who is a friend of mine showed me it one on one. It is just beyond words. Top materials and workmanship.
You can also see it under the Custom Shop link on Gibson' website along with all the other great banjos (www.gibson.com). Yes it was advertised as coming with airline tickets. Earl would present the banjo to the customer personally and would play it.
