I just got the masters book the other day and am now about half way through it. If I remember correctly there was a short disclaimer that contractual obligations for a planned book prevented Earl from participating directly in that book. The section on Earl was put together by Pete and Tony from various interviews through the years and then Earl reviewed what they wrote for accuracy. While not exactly like the personal interviews in the rest of the that have a lot of good technical questions it's still an important part of the book, Remember this book was resarched and written more than 15 years ago, obviously whatever was planned at that time didn't happen but so what. Isn't Earl's first book still one of the must have/must do books for any aspiring 5-stringer. Sure a video and maybe a new book would be nice and would most likely sell a ton but at this stage of his life I think Earl has the right to do whatever he wants, lets all just cheer him on whenever he does venture out.
