Brother Oswald was a very kind man. I was backstage at the Opry a few years ago when his health was starting to fail. Charlie and he played some wonderful tunes that night. He visited with me for awhile. I was there with Bill Day whos father was Lazy Jim Day. Lazy Jim was a Opry star during the late 30's through the 50's. He told us some stories of the old days at the Opry. He also told Bill some tales about his father which he enjoyed so much. It was a great evening. You can't ever replace folks like Oz and Lazy Jim. Treasures of country music.
