My daddy played the guitar when I was growing up till he died when I was 16. I can remember it like yesterday he had a man named Mac McCoy who I know till this day could put Bill Monroe to shame. He still plays the mandolin and now even makes them. He can make a mandolin hold it's sound for up to 43 seconds on one note. I'm sorry but even Gibson can't do that. I have a Gibson guitar the one daddy left me but I also have the one Mac made for me. The craftmanship and sound on that guitar is just wonderful. He plays blue grass and I was raised on it. I still love it and I must say I hope to live in sparta not to far from where my daddy was raised. Those hills up there are breathtaking. Besides the music I love is mostly played in that area.
