Hi every one and to Earl,
I've been listening to Earl Scruggs for over 35 years and I imagine alot of you have heard him even longer than that.
I had a dream come true in july of 98 when Earl & Marty came to Columbus Ohio. You would have thought the president was coming when I saw that Sheriff's escort pull in with them two big buses.
Earl never missed a lick on that 5 string. And the rest of the band was top notch also. But my eyes never left Earl. I just could'nt believe it.
There he was my hero of all time now and ever just
15 feet from me. Thank you Mr.Earl Scruggs for a life time memory.
I've been trying to play the banjo like you Earl
but I know that it will never be as you.
Earl has laid the foundation and the blue print for all of us to follow. So as long as I live I will try to follow.
Again Thank you for the memories. I never got to talk to you or shake your hand or get an autograph but maybe someday we will see you again
and I can do these things.

your friend and most loyal friend in Ashland,Ohio Rick Martin
p.s. my friend Barney Hall bought one of Uncle Josh's hound dogs a few years back.
