To Earl and Friends:

Finally, I've a moment to visit your web site and let you know ... OH YAH, the music was superb at the Birchmire Friday 6/14/02 !! Earl, your abilities on banjo were spellbounding !!! My musical interests have always been very eclectic, but on that night I became exposed to some of the most incredible talent and music that I had not discovered before last Friday .... thanks to my friend who asked me to go to the concert just days before. Scruggs and Friends has brought in new additions to my valued instrumental music collection and interests. I am now an Earl fan and a bluegrass fan ! Of course I was quite familiar with the famous "FMB" and the Bev. Hillb. theme song, but seeing / hearing where it came from "live" was great. It wasn't the "yellow pages", but Scruggs who brought on the expression: *"Let your fingers do the talkin' "*!!

Earl, your gorgeous son Gary, obviously takes on your sweet demeanor. Hi Gary !! I enjoyed your bass very very much, and you have a vocal frequency that I love. Your handsome stage presence and personality is calm and electric at the same time. N'er will I forget the sound of your engaging voice and the words to your awesome song "True Love Never Dies" -- I went out and bought that and other Scruggs & Friends CDs the next day. And a late Happy Birthday !! May 18th, 1 9 _ _ !

To Glenn, your fiddling made it look so easy. Perfection at its finest. Harry, your voice was deeply awesome. All the band was so talented. "Precious Memories" left everyone spellbound by the perfect pitch and melancholic harmony. Louise, you do an awesome job of managing and keeping this talent so alive and out there for everyone to enjoy ! Thank you. (Do you ever perform at company-wide or armed services social functions / gatherings ?)

P.S. To Gary: what is the name of the group that you played with at the Cellar Door in G'town years back?

Wishing each of you lots of JOY and FUN and JOY and FUN with your music. Well, now I need to stop typing and make this message short !!! (Rather, "Congratulations" if you made it to the end of this email !!!) Didn't quite realize I had so much to express about you'lls talent. :+) Susan P. from Alexandria, VA :+)
