Dear MR Scruggs .My name is Billy Bontrager,I am 24 years old.I live in Goshen,In. As a child I listen to country music, until I heard the sound of your banjo, at that time I new that,that was what I wanted.I then got my first banjo at the age of 13 hopeing someday I could play that song I heard on the radio that day Foggy Mountain Breakdown.My middle finger on my right hand is a inch an a half long,everyone told me I would never be able to be a banjo picker.But I think it is going very well.My next dream was to have a Gibson RB 250 and the hands of Earl Scruggs to go with it. Well I got the banjo but I am missing the hands.I then realized its not the banjo that sounds good its the person playin it. I know you probaly get letters like this all of the time but I hope this makes it to your heart like your music has blessed my heart.My only wish is to learn from you.Although my wish may never come true I hope someday to honor you.If you have any advice for me what so ever E-mail me at ringo@bnin.net.
